About Suncorp credit cards

Suncorp offers a range of credit cards to suit many customers:

  • Low-rate credit cards
  • Balance transfer credit cards
  • Gold credit cards
  • Platinum credit cards
  • VISA credit cards
  • Frequent Flyer credit cards

Each of the credit cards Suncorp offers has different rates, fees and rewards, so it pays to carefully compare to find one that suits your budget and needs. For example; the basic credit card offered by Suncorp has a moderately low interest rate, but no interest-free days on purchases, which might not suit every customer.

New Suncorp credit card customers are offered incentives to sign up, which include limited time cashback offers as well as 0 per cent balance transfers. Some Suncorp credit cards also come with free supplementary cards.

Unlike some of its competitors, Suncorp does not offer Mastercard and American Express, it only has Visa credit cards.

Suncorp credit cards review

Suncorp’s credit card range is not as wide as the big four banks, but it does offer basic no-frills credit cards as well as medium to high end credit cards with rewards.

The standard low rate credit cards offered by Suncorp come with a moderately high credit limit. The annual fees and interest rates on purchases are moderately low.

The Gold and Platinum rewards credit cards offered by Suncorp have high credit limits and several perks. However, these cards also have high interest rates on purchases, and moderately high fees. Each Suncorp rewards credit cards varies slightly, but perks include complimentary concierge, travel insurance and access to pre-sales offers on entertainment. The rewards include gift cards and cashback rewards, however some of these have points caps.

There is also the choice to upgrade a Suncorp Platinum credit card to a frequent flyer option, which earns Qantas points.
